My husband’s grandmother was Katherine (Kate)Bell McGrogan Gibney. She and her sister Josephine (Phine) McGrogan Galvin were one room school teachers in Java, Wyoming County, New York. I have found a autograph book that was given to Josephine by her father Henry Joseph McGrogan in 1887. I will list the names signed in this book in hopes that someone may find an ancestor. I do not know anything else about these people, but it may help someone locate a relation. 1). The first autograph was from Katie McGrogan on September 2, 1887 when Kate was 13 years old. 2). The next was from Carrie Delaney on July 25, 1887. 3). Elizabeth McGrogan sister to Phine & Kate. (later married Patrick Conway). 4). Bridget Lynch March 31, 1889. 5).Maggie Inirslan (not sure of spelling) July 30, 1887 6). Miss Frances Bardo June 18, 1899. 7). Mamie McClusky August 29, 1891 in Rochester, NY. 8).
